M-Bone of Cali Swag District Killed in Drive-By Shooting

Rapper M-Bone of Inglewood, Calif.-based rap group Cali Swag District was shot and killed late last night (May 15). There are still few details about the tragic incident, but TMZ reports that M-Bone was the victim of a drive-by shooting.

At the time of the shooting, which reportedly occurred at 11:30PM, M-Bone was standing beside his car in front of a liquor store in Inglewood. Sources say the shooter was driving down La Brea Avenue when he fired shots. It appears that the shooting was a random act of violence. M-Bone, born Montae Talbert, was only 22 years old.

Early this morning (May 16), Cali Swag District member C-Smoove tweeted, "Ma life changed drastically in the. Blink of an eye rip bone."

Cali Swag District --members include C-Smoove, Yung, JayAre, M-Bone -- came to fame off their 2010 smash hit 'Teach Me How to Dougie' and even performed a version of the song at NBA All-Star Weekend. The group's debut album, 'The Kickback,' was set to be released sometime this year.
